His experience spans health and care as well as public services, third sector, retail and finance. He brings deep experience in transforming services through aligning internal and external needs, engaging stakeholders, and facilitating collaboration.

Health and care

Gareth’s passion for health and care is rooted in personal experiences, having been diagnosed with cancer twice and losing a parent to the disease.

  • In 2017, he co-founded Fika, a mental fitness start-up aimed at preventing the decline of mental health. As Co-CEO, Gareth led the development of an innovative mental fitness platform, which was used by students, public sector organisations, corporates and NHS teams. This experience gave Gareth invaluable insight into how to uncover the ‘problem behind the problem’ and build services that meet user needs and have impact.
  • His work in mental fitness included partnerships with organisations like Zurich Municipal to provide mental fitness tools for UK teachers, as well as developing accredited courses for students through collaboration with leading education charity NCFE.

Gareth’s ability to translate real-world user needs into practical, scalable solutions will be critical to supporting health and care organisations make impactful changes to service delivery.

User-centred change at scale

In previous roles, Gareth has led large-scale digital transformation projects that focused on embedding user-centred design across entire organisations.

  • As a Consulting Partner at Globant, he worked closely with senior leadership to integrate service design and user experience methodologies into their global operations.
  • He led high-profile projects for clients such as JP Morgan and Lloyds Banking Group, where his focus on user-centred design helped transform both digital and physical service offerings.
  • His ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams—including service design, research, strategy and technology—ensured that solutions were both innovative and aligned with business objectives.

User-centred service transformation

At Healthia, Gareth will lead our partnerships with organisations to identify, validate, and implement transformative services through our collaborative, user-centred approach. He’ll develop strategic visions that align stakeholders and bring user insights, along with rapid concept testing and iteration, to the forefront, ensuring solutions create lasting results for patients, clinicians, and stakeholders.
